How long has IQRA Academy been running?
IQRA Academy was founded in 2010 and has been serving students in Toronto ever since.
Is IQRA Academy approved by the Ontario Ministry of Education?
Yes. IQRA Academy is a Ministry-approved private school, authorised to deliver Ontario secondary school curriculum courses and grant high school credits.
Will credits from IQRA Academy count toward the OSSD?
Yes. Credits earned here count toward the Ontario Secondary School Diploma. Report cards are issued on completion and can be forwarded to a student's home school for inclusion in their official transcript.
What courses do you offer?
We offer 43 Ontario curriculum courses across Grades 9 to 12, covering mathematics, sciences, English, social sciences, physical education and career studies. See the full course list.
What programmes are available?
We run individual credit courses, summer school, tutoring, and fast-track courses for students who need to complete a subject in a shorter time.
Who can earn credits at IQRA Academy?
High school students, mature students returning to education, and newcomers to Canada can all earn credits with us, subject to eligibility. Contact us and we will talk through your situation.
Do you offer tutoring as well as credit courses?
Yes. Alongside credit courses we provide tutoring from Grade 1 to Grade 12, giving students one-to-one support in the subjects they find most challenging.
How much does it cost?

What are your opening hours?
We are open 10:00 am - 10:00 pm Monday to Saturday, and 10:00 am - 6:30 pm on Sunday.

Can I upgrade a mark in a course I have already taken?
Yes. Many of our students take a course with us to improve a mark for university or college admission. Contact us to discuss which course fits your goals.
How do I apply?
Get in touch by phone or email and we will guide you through it. Full details are on the Admissions page.
What are the class sizes?
Classes are kept small. That is what allows teachers to notice quickly when a student is struggling and give them the attention they need.
How often do students attend class?
Students choose a morning, afternoon or evening session, attending at least 11 hours a week across a 10-week term. Each class runs for two and a half hours.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept debit and credit cards, cheque, e-transfer and cash. See the Admissions page for current fees.
When are report cards issued?
Report cards are issued one week after final exams. Before a report card is released, a student needs to have cleared any outstanding balance, returned borrowed textbooks, and supplied any documents still needed by the office.
